Nash Basom, 69, died at his home in Glover on August 3, 2011 surrounded by his family. Born in 1942 in Alexandria, Virginia, Nash first fell in love with Vermont when he attended Farm and Wilderness Summer Camps as a youth in the 1950s. Later, he and his partner, Mariel Hess, moved to Vermont permanently, where they built a home in Glover and raised their daughters, Reeve and Kit.Â
