Indians Hold off Rangers

May 8, 2011

DANVILLE–The Danville Indians punched across a pair of runs in the bottom of the sixth and held off a Ranger rally for a 5-4 win Saturday.
Lake Region got a booming one out seventh inning double from Tyler Breault scoring Kyle Perry, who had drawn a walk to bring the Blue and White to within one run. Breault was called out trying to stretch his clutch single and appeared safe, but the bad angle call from the umpire put a big damper on the LRU rally.

Falcons Find Spark in Loss

May 3, 2011

Despite losing 18-3 to Essex, North Country found a spark in the play of sophomore Anna Bingham.
The short stop had all three NCU hits, and was a single away from hitting for the cycle as she belted out a triple, a double, and a sixth inning homer to give her team an emotional lift at the end of the game.
The Falcons will take that positive and try to get back on the right track against MMU on Thursday.
