NEWPORT–IT was a tough pill to swallow for the North Country girls basketball team Friday night as a tall, athletic, and quick group of Rice players over-powered the Falcons en-route to the 46-21 win.
"Their pressure clearly affect us," said coach Christiane Brown, "We just need to do a better job of how we react to any kind of pressure, because that is how they got their points tonight."
Rice's big bodies held the Falcons to just three points in the opening quarter, while they put up a twelve spot on the board.

ORLEANS–In what started out as a tight contest ended in a twenty point victory for the Lady Rangers on Thursday as they ended their two game skid, defeating the Richford Rockets 52-32.
“I think this was an important win for us,” said coach Matt Tinker, “This will be good for the girls as we needed to get another win under our belt.”
The first quarter was tightly played eight minutes by both teams. Cailyn Gallup started the scoring with with a mid-range jumper to get Lake Region on the board first, and it would be back and fourth from there.
