“We were trying to get education into the community about what the cane is all about and why we have the white cane,” explained PALS facilitator Harriet Hall.
NEWPORT CITY – The council Monday approved the location of a salvage yard on the Crawford Farm Road.Â
Fred Oeschger, Jim Mulkin and Mary Ann Mulkin own the property. A single family home will also be on the property. The application lists the Wright Brothers LLC as the applicants.Â
The owners already have their local and state permits, city manager John Ward Jr., said.Â
Mayor Paul Monette expressed concerns about the appearance of the salvage yard. Ward said he believes all of the material would be under cover.Â
