DERBY â The time is drawing near on the foreclosure of Indoor Recreation of Orleans County (IROC), but voters in towns across the Northeast Kingdom will have a chance on Tuesday to help the nonprofit organization.
Over the last seven years, thousands of local residents have used the facility, while youth age 18 and under have enjoyed full membership benefits for the past few years.

COVENTRY â At least two residents are vying for the office of town clerk and treasurer. Deb Tanguay is facing off against incumbent Cynthia Diaz. Each title is considered a different position but the same person usually holds both offices.
Diaz first became clerk and treasurer in 2004.
"I'm running again because I really enjoy the people," said Diaz. "I really enjoy helping the residents of Coventry."
