DERBY â€“ A state police scuba team recovered the body of 53-year-old Jacques LeBlanc from Lake Memphremagog late yesterday afternoon.
LeBlanc was using a tractor to move an ice shanty from the lake. It's unclear when LeBlanc went into the water, but family members last saw LeBlanc on the ice Saturday afternoon.
DERBY â€“ IROC's executive director, Phil White, went before the court Monday in an attempt to get more time to try and refinance the organization's debt and avoid foreclosure.
But Community National Bank is saying no. The bank decided to give IROC until April 1 and does not want to extend the redemption period any longer. White has filed a motion asking to move the deadline to July 15.
COVENTRY â€“ Someday, the North Country Supervisory Union may have a different configuration. Thursday evening, board members and principals from the district met at the Coventry Village SchoolÂ to discuss options for a potential increase in enrollment, including the possibility of a new middle school on the west side of the district and/or expansion of existing facilities.
