THE HYDRO ENGINE THAT CAN

September 29, 2013

BARTON – An unnamed river, which is the central outlet to a 24-square-mile watershed highlighted by Crystal Lake and May Pond, was for over 140 years an energy source that resulted in the founding of “Barton Mills,” now the Town of Barton. FIELD HOCKEY
Spaulding 2, No. Country 0
The next day brought more fantastic weather and more Spaulding athletic teams to the fields at North Country Union.
On the field hockey green, the Falcons got off to a good start, playing with energy as they looked to bounce back from their first loss of the season, a tough 3-0 defeat at the hands of Harwood on Thursday afternoon.
But Spaulding's Kassandra Perantoni and Nichole Weeks scored less than a minute apart at the mid-point of the first half, and that would be all she wrote.
