ORLEANS-Undaunted by facing an unknown team without their ace on the mound, No. 7 seeded Lake Region knocked off No. 10 Harwood 8-4 behind a strong performance from Dustin Bathalon in Division II high school baseball play-down action Tuesday afternoon.
Sophomore Logan Harper paced the Rangers with a trio of hits and three RBIs, followed by Matt Messier (three hits) and Josh Locke (two hits).

Once there were nuns - or more appropriately, sisters. But when the sisters left Newport and the school closed, the convent by St. Mary, Star of the Sea remained empty.
