Enosburg Come From Behind to Defeat Lady Rangers 5-4

The Enosburg Yellow Jackets pocketed a 5-4 victory over Lake Region in girls high school softball Monday evening, in a game far different than either had played yet this season.
Enosburg moves to 2-1, while LR drops to 1-1 and travels to Danville Thursday.

Rangers Drop to .500 With 13-4 Loss to Hornets

April 23, 2013

ORLEANS–Lake Region's baseball club had a rough go of it on Monday afternoon, as they fell 13-4 to Enosburg in a make-up game from Saturday's rain out.
Alex Beauregard got the start for the Rangers, his first at the varsity level after a brief hiatus from the game.
Beauregard took the loss, going 3 1/3, with 5 K's and 6 walks.
Now 1-1, Lake Region will travel to Danville for their first road game of the year on Thursday.

LAYOFFS AT TIVOLY

DERBY LINE, VT - Wally Watson, president of the International Association of Machinists Local 1829, confirmed today (April 23) that Tivoly Inc., in Derby Line, has laid off some workers. There is no response yet from management.

LUCKY TO BE ALIVE

April 22, 2013

LOWELL – The Richardson family of Lowell is lucky to be alive. Angel and Brian Richardson were traveling in separate vehicles on the Mines Road in Lowell just before 3 a.m. Saturday when they and their cars suddenly ended up in a large hole. After they had climbed out, water and rocks showered down on their stranded vehicles and the hole got a lot deeper.
Angel didn't see the washout due to the rain and darkness and drove into the hole. The car stopped in an uncontrolled position at the bottom. Alex Richardson, 16, was riding with Angel.
