Lake Region Students Perform Pippin This Weekend

ORLEANS —Lake Region Union High School students will perform the Tony winning musical Pippin at the Orleans Memorial Building this weekend. Under the guidance of Sally Rivard and music director Sara Doncaster, a troupe of talented students have practiced since mid-September preparing for the event.

Newport City Voters Approve Using Bridge Surplus To Renovate Municipal Building

NEWPORT CITY – Voters gave the okay Tuesday for the council to use $186,958 to renovate and repair the Municipal Building. The amount is left over bond money the city took out to cover its share of replacing the Veteran’s Memorial Long Bridge.
