In the second the Cougars decided to crash the party, scoring two runs in the frame to take the lead.
North Country continued the fight in the bottom of the frame with Mariah Roberts singling, scoring and knotting the contest at two.
MMU took back the lead in the third on Autumn Hallock's double that scored Sydney LeBourveau.

Lady Rangers Gift Wrap 10-9 Victory to Enosburg While Lake Region Boys Fall 9-2 to Hornets

May 23, 2012

The Lake Region Rangers softball team was clearly in the giving mood Tuesday, as ten errors in the field combined with a handful of mental mistakes led to a 10-9 extra-inning loss to Enosburg.
While the defense did everything they could to give the contest away, the offense kept coming back, tying or taking the lead on three different occasions after falling behind.
Ranger starter Michelle Thibeault also did her part, striking out a career high 7 batters, but in the end could not overcome a porous Ranger defense that made a least one error in every inning of play.

Fun In The Sun At The Dandelion Run

May 21, 2012

DERBY, VT - The Dandelion Festival could not have picked a more beautiful weekend in which to celebrate our area's magnificence.
Canadian marathoner Christian Vachon from Magog, Quebec, was the winner of the half-marathon, completing the course in a time of 1:23:49, well ahead of the competition. Christian's closest competitor was Russell Primeau, who finished second with a time of 1:29:14.
It was a befitting victory for Vachon, considering the generous donation his charity, the Christian Vachon Foundation, made to IROC and the event.
