Prevent child abuse Vermont will once again host their annual 2015 walks and runs for Children. The walks are as follows: Montpelier, Saturday September 12, on the State house lawn; in Burlington on September 19, on the First Unitarian Universalist Church lawn; and in Rutland on September 19, at the Howe Center. Walkers from all over the area come to walk and show their support for child abuse prevention, and help to make a difference for Vermont children at risk. Tee shirts, hot dogs, snacks, and water will be provided for everyone. Team prizes will be awarded and there will be a raffle.
JOHNSON - Vermont Electric Cooperative (VEC) is once again encouraging its members to conserve energy on Monday August 17 between the hours of 1 pm and 6 pm when demand for electricity is expected to spike as a result of high temperatures throughout New England.
