Manager Defrauded DL Ambulance Of $250K, US Attorney Says

The U.S. attorney for Vermont says Amy Fletcher, the former manager for the Derby Line Ambulance squad, diverted $250,000 from the non-profit service for her own use, and that she filed a false federal income tax return in 2011.

Today, at nearly all lift-accessed resorts in the nation, and even at some hike-to areas like Mount Washington, ski patrollers are standing by to stabilize injured snowsports enthusiasts and transport them off of the ski slopes. Louis Carter has been doing just that for the last 50 years at Jay Peak.
