JAY - A highly ambitious development plan for the region, utilizing upwards of $500 million, was unveiled by local entrepreneurs and state officials Thursday. Plans include vast development for Newport City, the airport, Burke Mountain Resort, and Jay Peak.

He continues his story this week, where he left off — getting Chuck Berry to finally agree to get in his car and drive to the St. Louis airport. But time was very tight and Jay has to promise he’d come up with an additional $2500 to motivate Berry to make the trip to Lyndonville.

NEWPORT CITY – Thursday, Judge H.E. VanBenthuysen held Daniel Greenwood, 36 of Orleans, on $100,000 bail for a variety of felony and misdemeanor charges.
Greenwood pled not guilty to two felony burglary charges, a charge of accessory after the fact, a misdemeanor charge of illegal possession of a drug and a misdemeanor charge of violation of conditions. The state dismissed without prejudice three felony burglary charges.
