HASKELL BURGLARIZED

DERBY LINE – The Haskell Opera House was burglarized over the weekend.
Lynn Leimer, the opera house manager, said someone came in sometime between Thursday night and Friday morning and made off with close to $500 in donations made to the Haskell.
The donation box was destroyed inside the building to gain access to the cash. Somehow the door to the opera house was opened and police say that there is no sign of a forced entry. Haskell officials said Sunday that they do not know yet if security footage reveals the perpetrator.

IRASBURG - Tourette Syndrome is a neurological disorder in the brain that sends signals to the body without someone's knowledge. It's similar to a wiring system gone wrong. The side effects include such things as having vocal or head ticks, clearing your throat involuntarily, and other involuntary motions.

Neither rain nor cold could dampen the spirits of the Duckies, those hearty souls who put it all on the line for the Newport Rotary Club’s Annual Duck Regatta.
First place winners and the People’s Choice category for business ducks were Kelsie and Alan Dauphin of Financial Blueprints in Newport Center.
WMOO’s Milkshake joined the celebration with his Ducky date, the Regatta Mascot.
