DERBY LINE – Comedic legend and Emmy-award winner Paula Poundstone is performing at the Haskell Opera House in Derby Line Sunday, Nov. 4, 7 p.m. The performance is the result of the efforts of film director, screenwriter, producer, and professor of Film Studies Jay Craven of Peacham; Lynn Leimer, the Haskell Opera House manager; and the Haskell Board of Trustees.

NORTHEAST KINGDOM – Native Wayne Warner is no stranger to entertaining folks of all walks of life.
He is currently launching his newest CD/DVD combination package, "What Lines?" The DVD has 10 cuts and two bonus tunes, "Turbo Twang" and "God Bless the Children." "What Lines?" is Warner’s first album in four years.
This album is different from Warner’s previous works because it contains the look and sound he wants, not what a committee wants, he said

New Dog in Town

OLREANS COUNTY – The North East Kingdom has a new leashed dog tracker for hunting. Ashley Buffum received her license August 25 after passing a test and training her dog, Daisy Duke, a two-year-old Treeing Walker (Coon Hound).
