Newport Man Denies Setting Fire To Car On Main Street

NEWPORT CITY - The man who allegedly set a car on fire on Main Street in Newport City late Saturday night pleaded not guilty to a felony charge of third degree arson and a misdemeanor charge of unlawful mischief in the Criminal Division of Orleans Superior Court Monday.

Seven-year-old Caleb Bickford of Glover collected a trophy at the Orleans Municipal building during the prime rib dinner put on by the Orleans Rod and Gun club for the squirrel he shot while participating in the club’s rabbit hunt Sunday.
