Woman Gets Prison Terms In Double Fatal Case

NEWPORT CITY – A 28-year-old Enosburg Falls woman was handed two concurrent six- to 15-year prison sentences Wednesday for negligent driving with death resulting in an August 2012 crash that killed a couple on their way home from church.
Alexis Gabree was the driver of the car that killed Margaret and Edmund Moran, also known as Art and Peggy. The crash took place on Route 105 in North Troy.

Former North Country Music Educator Returns

NEWPORT CITY - For 16 years Glory Reinstein, formerly known as Glory Douglass, worked as a music educator at North Country Union High School. Reinstein, now a teacher at Essex High School, will grace the North Country stage one more time as a music educator Saturday afternoon.
