The Boy Scouts of America has reversed years of policy to allow gay scouts to enter the program, but the organization still does not allow gay scout leaders. Peter Lavalette was stopped for drunk driving in Indiana, and before the deputy sheriff could book him, he apparently confessed to killing a man in Westfield. A Derby man wanted in connection with a recent Westfield, VT, murder is getting a free ride home from Indiana, thanks to the Vermont State Police.
