Canadian Victoria Day Holiday Ends, Causes Border Backups

Federal Energy Regulation Sparks Discussion

NEWPORT CITY – Electric power continues to be a topic of discussion among Vermonters. During Monday’s legislative breakfast, Robin Clark of Lowell said a regulation allows electric utilities across the United States to pass 70 percent of the power line construction costs to ratepayers.

Legion Presents Hospital With New Flag

NEWPORT CITY – Just in time for Memorial Day weekend, the American Legion Newport Post 21 presented North Country Hospital with a new American Flag.
