OCCA Creates Matches For Disabled Individuals

Do you have extra time that you would like to share with a local disabled individual? Why not team up with Orleans County Citizen Advocacy (OCCA) and become a friend and advocate for a disabled individual?
Chris Wellhoff, OCCA vice-president, said the organization has been in existence for about 26 years. OCCA connects advocates and disabled individuals, known as partners, who have a developmental or physical disability.

Exchange Students Provide Cultural Experience

BARTON — “I couldn’t afford to travel the world so I brought it to us,” said Toni Eubanks Monday, referring to her role as a host mother for exchange students. The Eubankses have hosted students from across the pond in Europe, as well a student from Australia.

Orleans Superior Court: NCU Student Denies Distributing Pot Brownies At School

NEWPORT CITY - A 19-year-old man from Island Pond accused of the sale or delivery of marijuana in 2012 pleaded not guilty to the felony charge in Orleans Superior Court Tuesday. Michael Gagliola was released without bail.
