The long awaited Derby Walmart Supercenter is nearly ready to build. The District 7 Environmental Commission issued a Land Use Permit Friday to construct a 165,000 square foot building with a parking lot for 657 cars and a 1,500 foot access road. The store, which will be off of Route 5 / 105 and Shattuck Hill Road, will be open 24-hours a day.
