Carr–– “Dick” Richard Powell passed away peacefully in his sleep March 31, 2012 at his home in Mesa Arizona. His children will host a memorial celebration of his life on Saturday, September 22, 2012 beginning at 10:49 a.m. The gathering will take place at “Railroad Camp” in Brunswick, Vermont. Parking will be in the Sylvio Conte NWR Visitors Center parking lot in Bloomfield, VT (formally Bear Mountain) with just a short walk to the camp. Any and all are invited to attend.

Merle Benway, 82, of Glover died Monday, September 10, 2012 at home. He was born January 22, 1930 in North Troy, VT. He was the son of Russel Alfred Benway and Hazel Watson Benway.
He worked on construction for many years and was the Road Commissioner for the Town of Glover for over 20 years. He loved his horses and his faithful dog, Emma.

Roberge–– Ivan J., 74, of Newport, VT passed away peacefully on September 9, 2012 at his home. At Ivan’s request, there will be no services. Wheeler– Celon George, 78, of Newport Center, VT died while working at the Lake Road Cemetery in Newport Center, VT on September 6, 2012. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at the Lake Road Cemetery in Newport Center, VT with the Rev. Laurence Wall officiating. The family request’s no flowers. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Curtis-Britch-Converse-Rushford Funeral Home, locally family owned and operated.
