Gilpin–– Elizabeth, formerly of Newport and Coventry, passed away on March 16, 2012 at the age of 92. Funeral arrangements are in charge of Guare & Sons Funeral Home of Montpelier. A memorial service will be held at The Gardens. A graveside service and interment at Coventry Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.

Doherty–– Gérard, 87, of Stanstead passed away at the CSSS Memphremagog on March 9, 2012. Funeral service and interment at Crystal Lake Cemetery will be held at a later date. As a tribute to his memory, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 3330 King West Street, Bureau 130, Sherbrooke, QC J1L 1C9, would be appreciated by the family.

Rooney–– John E. (Jack) passed away at the VA hospital in White River Jct., VT on March 3, 2012 with his nephews by his side. There will be calling hours 4–7 p.m. Sunday, March 11, 2012 at Fenton & Hennessey Funeral Home in Bellows Falls, VT. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, March 12, 2012 at St. Charles Church with burial to follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Bellows Falls, VT.
