Falcon Girls Throttle Northfield 4-2

September 8, 2011

NEWPORT-The weather was frightful but that did not effect the focus of the North Country Falcon girls as they put together a solid opening season effort knocking off the Northfield Marauders 4-2.
The Falcons iced the contest late on Kate Meuiner’s second goal of the contest off a well set up dead ball.
NCUHS had a couple good chances early. Senior Cara Worth weaved her way thru the Northfield defense and caromed a shot off the crossbar. Moments later Anna Bingham made a strong rush into Marauder territory getting off a hard shot from the right wing.
