MONTPELIER – The Lake Region Rangers took to the road Wednesday night for the first round of the Division 2 playoffs against the #7 seeded Montpelier Solons. The Rangers were without sophomore Alex Beauregard for the contest who suffered a high ankle sprain during the closing moments of the last game against Richford. After a contest that went down to the wire, the blue and white ultimately fell 62-55.
HARDWICK–It took until the later stages of the game, but Craftsbury was able to put together a 16-3 run to get past the Chelsea Red Devils to advance in the Division four play-offs.
The win earns the team a date with Rochester, who was one of four teams to defeat the Chargers this season.
Kyle Adams had seventeen points in the win, and freshman Alex Vetere had eleven.
Their game against number four Rochester is slated to take place on Friday at the South Royalton high school at 7:00.
