Tide Rolls Falcons 4-2 in Night Time Soccer Action

September 13, 2012

NEWPORT–Despite getting twelve shots on net, and a flurry of activity late, North Country's boys soccer team could not quite complete the comeback, falling to the Spaulding Crimson Tide 4-2 on Wednesday evening.
For the Falcons the problem seems to be that of consistency.
They look great for small stretches of time, ten minutes here, five minutes there, but they have been unable to put together the continuous amount of pressure needed to win games in the Metro division.
This lack of on-field continuity has assistant coach Tim Stanley trying to find the solution that best fits his team.

Rangers Offense Explodes in 5-2 Win Over Lyndon

September 13, 2012

ORLEANS–Anthony Wright tallied twice, and Lake Region rolled to a 5-2 victory over Lyndon Institute Wednesday night.
The Rangers (3-1) had their biggest outburst of the season, knocking in a trio of goals in the first 15 minutes of play against the now Division I Vikings.
Junior Clint Provoncha (one assist) and senior Shaquille Urie (two assists) each had a goal, while junior Josh Tibault found the net on a helper from Carl Oberg.
"It wasn't the best played match by us," said head coach Tom Evans. "I'm happy, of course, with the result, but not with our caliber of play."
