ORLEANS–Shaquille Urie scored arguably the prettiest goal of the season for Lake Region, heading the ball past Hazen's Murphy Simmons seven minutes into the second half to secure the Rangers' 2-1 win over the Wildcats on Wednesday afternoon.
Lake Region got off to the hot start, and if it wasn't for Simmons heroics in goal, the score would have been much more lopsided.
His first big save came against eventual goal scorer Urie.
Jeremy Dean had the ball deep in Hazen territory when he lofted a cross into the middle of the box.

ST. ALBANS–Ruffie Palin's header in the 31st minute provided the only scoring Wednesday night, as North Country earned its’ first victory of the season with a 1-0 decision over the Bobwhites.
BFA (1-4-1) gave the Homecoming crowd plenty to cheer for in the opening minutes with a series of great chances, and had a handful of shots at a wide-open net late. Falcon goalkeeper Logan Fortier made a few great stops, but most of St. Albans' chances flew wide of one post or the other.
