Lady Rangers Earn First Win of the Year Against Lyndon

September 6, 2012

LYNDON–After a scoreless first half, Tyrah Urie picked up right where she left off last season, netting both goals in the Lady Rangers 2-1 win over the Vikings on Wednesday.
"We played well at times," said coach Brad Urie, who was happy to get the win, but not one hundred percent pleased with his team's performance on the field.
The first half was a back and forth forty minutes of soccer with neither team getting the upper hand.
Early in the second, Urie netted her first goal of the season, a header off of a pass from Hannah Leroux.

NORTHFIELD–Coach Jose´ Batista's prediction that Devinnie Davis and Crystal Moss were going to be impact players for the Falcons' girls soccer team came true as the duo each had two points to help lead North Country over Northfield 3-0.
"We looked very good. The girls came out hard, played well and we are very pleased with their effort," said Batista after the game.
In the first half North Country went up 1-0 on Davis' first varsity goal. Moss drew the assist on the tally.
Anna Bingham made it 2-0, with Davis getting the helper.
