CONCORD–Chris DeLaBruere had 21 points, and two other Crusaders were in double-digits as UCA defeated Concord (1-6) on Tuesday evening to move to a Division IV best 8-1.
"We didn't shoot as well as we wanted to but Marquel Taylor-Webster had another strong game inside with 13 pts and 18 boards, while Chris added 8 boards to go along with his 21," said coach Tony DeLaBruere. "Defensively we still have much work to do, but some adjustments offensively at half time really seemed to work for us and allowed us to take advantage of our inside game which seems to be clicking right now."
ORLEANS–Ten days in between games is a long stretch for any team, and it showed on Tuesday night as Lake Region fell for the first time this season, losing 38-35 to the Lamoille Lady Lancers.
Casey Machia and Drew Neal each had 10 points to lead their respective teams in scoring.
Next up for 5-1 Lake Region is a visit from Hazen this Friday. Tip-off is at 7:00.
