Essex Scores Twice in the 3rd to Best Falcons

December 11, 2013

Jay-After Ross DeLaBruere put North Country ahead 1-0 in the first, the Essex Hornets tied things up in the second, then popped in two more in the third to hand the Falcons their first loss of the season.
Freshman goalie Dana Marsh was outstanding for the Falcons, stopping 34 of 37 shots on the night.
Despite the loss, North Country played a very strong game, and if they continue to improve, the next time these two teams meet, the outcome could be much different.

North Country Girls Future is in Their Own Hands

December 11, 2013

NEWPORT–For the 2013-2014 North Country girl's basketball team, the future is wide open.
Only four players are returning to coach Christiane Brown's squad this year, and that means every position is up for grabs.
"Who are we... that is a great question," Brown said as our interview got underway. "We are so young and it might be a little too early for me to tell you who we are as we need to grow and develop as team before I can tell you that, but I can tell you that we are a group that is dedicated, very focused, eager to learn and so far, look to be great teammates."
