Rangers move to 2-0 with win over Lyndon

December 19, 2013

ORLEANS-After trailing 14-13 after the first quarter, the Lake Region boys basketball team got their game in gear, pulled ahead in the second, and picked up their second win of the season.
Things got pretty tight in the fourth, as Lyndon put together an 8 point run to get within 2, but Lake Region regrouped and put the game away thanks to some clutch shooting at the free throw line.
Clint Provoncha led the Rangers in scoring with 19 points, while Kyle Cipollone and Mason Lantz each had 17 for Lyndon.

Defensive Breakdowns Prove Costly in Falcons' Loss to BFA

December 19, 2013

JAY–Wednesday night was a learning experience for the North Country girls hockey team, as they went head-to-head with the defending Division I state champion BFA Comets.
Things did not go particularly well for the Falcons, as they fell 8-2, but they definitely found out what it will take to compete with the best in the state of Vermont.
"We have to play them once straight up to see how the game is going to roll, but from there on it is up to me to make it better," said NCU coach Claude Paul on his take of the game.
