ORLEANS-It wasn't easy, and at times the game looked to be doubt, but the Lady Rangers were able to strap on their work boots, dig deep and grind out a 44-40 win over the Northfield Marauders.
"Overall, we had a game plan, but our perimeter shooting wasn't what it was the last couple of outings, so we had to find some other places to get points," said LRU coach Mark Tinker. "It was by hook or by crook, but we got the offense when we needed it and our defense created some chances for us."
Drew Neal led all scorers with 26 points, while McMullen had a team-high 20 for Northfield.
