ORLEANS-Wednesday’s girls soccer game between Lake Region and Hazen was postponed due to the storm that eventually hit the area.
With just about 11 minutes of soccer in the books and the score standing at 0-0, a rumbling of thunder caused play to be halted and for players to move into the school.
After the initial thunder, lightning started to strike, and after to close to an hour into the delay, the game was called. No make-up date has been announced yet.
The soccer match between the Craftsbury and Concord girls was also postponed.
