ORLEANS–BFA Fairfax scored twelve runs in the top of the first inning, and that was more then enough as the Lady Bullets defeated the Lady Rangers 27-4.
"It was a miserable, miserable, miserable day," said LR coach Matt Tinker. "We need to get mentally tougher when we are in the middle of a bad inning, and get of quicker than we are. Call me crazy, but I think we did do some good things against the best pitcher we are going to face all year, and I am looking forward to seeing them again when the weather is warmer."

BFA Fairfax 15, Lake Region 2
ORLEANS-What started out as a close game ended up in a blowout, as BFA Fairfax handed Lake Region a one-sided loss on Saturday morning.
BFA scored a pair of runs in the first and the second to jump out to the 4-0 lead.
Lake Region got on the board in the fourth, but the Bullets restored the four-run advantage with a run in the top of the fifth.
That would be the end of the day for Ranger starter Matt Messier, who finished his outing striking out ten, walking three and allowing three hits.
