From NCC to Pinehurst, Austin Giroux is Going Places

July 15, 2014

NEWPORT–It is not uncommon to go up to a golfer and have them tell you that they have been playing golf for more than half of their life.
When I met up with Austin Giroux and asked him how long he had been playing, he said most of his life.
Here is the difference:
Austin is a ten years old.
He started golfing when he was three.
So, to say that Austin has been golfing for most of his life is a pretty darn accurate statement.
Austin has had quite the summer so far, and I made the trek up to the Newport Country Club to sit down and chat with Derby Elementary School fifth grader.
