BGS Gets City Okay For Utility Building At Prison

NEWPORT CITY – The city’s Development Review Board (DRB) issued a zoning permit and a local Act 250 permit Wednesday to the state Department of Buildings and General Services (BGS) to build a 2,878 square-foot maintenance building on the outside of the secured area at the Northern State Correctional Facility.
