NEWPORT–On Friday, North Country hosted the first of three track meets that will take place at the school this season.
Phoenix Alix, who took second place in the girls high jump, spoke about her day at the track, saying, "It was only my second time doing it (high jump), and when I started, I couldn't jump over anything, so I was pretty pleased with how well I did."
Due to a technical snafu, the results were delayed in getting to the offices of the Express.
Also, thanks to the limited personnel available, and the vacation-induced roster shortages, team results were not kept.
