While everybody in attendance managed to find a place to put their car, they would not get to see a Falcon victory, as the Bobwhites rallied from a two-goal deficit in the first to earn the 3-2 win.

GIRLS HOCKEY
Spaulding 1, No. Country 0 OT
JAY–For the first forty-nine minutes and thirty-two seconds of the game nobody could find the back of the net, but with twenty-eight seconds remaining in overtime, Spaulding's Julia Ormsby shot a puck that went off of Falcon goalie Mikaella Doran's glove and into the back of the net to give the Crimson Tide the win.
"I think we competed well right from the start," said NCU coach Claude Paul. "We had a strategy of matching up with their best player, and we succeeded for the most part, and I think it was really a constant battle the whole game."

Thirty-Two Minute Effort Results in Big Win for North Country

January 22, 2014

NEWPORT–Looking at the standings before the start of Tuesday's boy's basketball game between North Country and CVU, I figured that this was definitely a game where the Falcons could make a statement.
Both teams had similar records, and had wins and losses against common opponents.
When I got to the gym, I told public address announcer Bob Currier that this was going to be a good game, and that I thought the Falcons could come away with a win.

CRAFTSBURY-The second half of Thursday's Craftsbury-Cabot doubleheader featured a rematch that had the potential for some fireworks.

But in the end the result was the same, as Craftsbury picked up their second straight win over Cabot, this time winning 56-38.

Lady Chargers Stay Hot, Defeat Cabot and Websterville

January 19, 2014

CRAFTSBURY-I could try and spin everybody a yarn about how this game was a competitive battle between two squads looking to pick up a notch in the win column, but I am not going to.
Instead I will tell it like it is; this game was an out and out blow out win for the Lady Chargers of Craftsbury, as they defeated the Cabot Huskies 64-22 on Thursday evening.

Weekend Round-up: Paul Nets Winner, Duncan Goes Off, More

Staff Reports
BOYS HOCKEY
No. Country 5, Rutland 4 OT
RUTLAND–Ryan Paul, on a pass from Nate Marsh, scored his second goal of the game at the 1:05 marker of overtime to give the North Country Falcons the win over the Rutland Raiders on Saturday evening.
While the win was nice, the Falcons showed the effects of having a ten day break in between games, much to the chagrin of head coach Ryan Jacobs.
"We took too may penalties, and although the penalty killers did a good job, overall we were a little rusty," Jacobs said.
