LOWELL – The Vermont Energy Generation Siting Commission toured the Kingdom Community Wind project in Lowell Tuesday. Later that evening, the five-member commission held its third public hearing at the Lowell Village School to a crowd of several hundred people.
Gov. Peter Shumlin appointed the commission to recommend best practices for improving how power generation sites are chosen and how to get public input.
The commission’s next session will be Feb. 20 in Montpelier. Attendees could speak about anything related to energy; most stuck with the topic of wind.

For the full story about the meeting, see Thursday's edition of the Newport Daily Express for Feb. 14, 2013.
