Chargers Lose in Quarters to Rockets

March 4, 2012

SOUTH ROYALTON – Craftsbury Academy headed south to take on #4 Rochester Friday evening. Both clubs tied with identical 16-4 records, but the Chargers lost out on the chance for the high seed and the home game because of a loss they suffered last Saturday in a head-to-head matchup between the two clubs.
The Rockets were in command from tip-off dominating every facet of the game to book a trip to the Barre Aud with a convincing 84-58 victory.
Vermont’s personal highlight reel, Pavin Parrish, led all scorers with 35 points, including a perfect 15-15 from the free throw stripe.
Andrew Marckres led the way for the Academy with 18 points and Kyle Adams chipped in with 17.
As the door closes on the 2011-2012 campaign, coach Terry Kelleher will say goodbye to 4 seniors. But, if this season proved anything it is that Craftsbury Academy basketball is back on the map and is here to stay.
