Poginy–– Claude, 68, a lifelong resident of Barton, VT, passed peacefully at home on July 16, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. Calling will be held at Curtis-Britch-Converse-Rushford Funeral Home at 12 Elm Street, Barton, on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 from 9 to 10:30 am. Following the calling, a celebration of life ceremony will be held at St. Paul's Church in Barton at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2011, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow at Welcome O. Brown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Claude Poginy's name to North Country Hospital Oncology Department, 189 Prouty Drive, Newport, VT 05855, or Orleans/Essex VNA & Hospice, 46 Lakemont Rd., Newport, VT 05855.
