Coventry Looking to Start Its Own Road Department

COVENTRY – The Coventry select board is working to determine the best way to continue winter maintenance on town roads. The board will make its final decision Monday, Aug. 11.Earlier this month Paul Meunier of Meunier’s Construction, the firm that has maintained the town’s 37 miles of roads since 1977, told the select board that he would like to retire. Meunier’s firm has primarily provided winter maintenance to the town, but also helped Road Commissioner Dave Gallup with some non-winter projects.For the rest of the story see Wednesday's Express!
