Craftsbury Starts Out Hot, But Proctor Comes Back to Get Win
BARRE–The Craftsbury girls basketball team had a great start to their semi-final contest against Proctor, but the Lady Phantoms got hot from beyond the arc in the second quarter, and they built up a lead that was too much to overcome, and the Lady Chargers season came to a close with 60-36 loss at the Barre Auditorium."Obviously I am little disappointed with the number of turnovers we had and we should have been able to handle that pressure, but it gives the younger girls an idea of what we talked about in practice when we wanted to have good defensive workouts," said Craftsbury coach Rick Thomas. "It is always sad to see the seniors walk off the court, and dreams can be made or they can be shattered in Barre, and tonight I think they were shattered for those girls."For the full story, see the Express on 2-26-14.
