NEWPORT, VT - North Country Career Center students, Edy Bedard and Melody Davis, participated in the annual Rotary Duck Regatta. They applied marketing skills in designing and creating the 2’x2’ display featuring “A  DECA Duck.”
The Duck Regatta event was a great opportunity to participate in community outreach, to network with other businesses and to present the display at the special Eastside Duck Party. his project, a three-week activity, was awarded a second place entry with the proceeds being applied to the student’s activity account, which provides financial assistance for DECA conferences.
Edy and Melody were overheard at the duck party to say, “This was quacktastic!” Special thanks go to Dan Ross, Tech. Ed.; Roger Wells, Welding Design & Fabrication; Ron Paula, CAD and Lydia Alexander, Marketing, whose help, assistance and building expertise made the Deca Duck happen.
