Delabruere & Wilson Return to City Council

NEWPORT CITY - In Newport City races, Tim Delabruere and John Wilson were re-elected to the city council with 407 votes and 360 votes respectively. Mark Guyette came in third with 266 and Peter Holden fourth with 196.
For city school trustee, Philip Laramie and Corinna Lancaster were voted in, with 450 votes and 379 votes respectively, defeating Vikki Lantagne, who had 242.
For the high school board, Maggie Griffith won with 319 votes to Marie George's 265.
The city budget and city school budget both passed by healthy margins. In fact, all articles were easily passed. City voters also supported both the North Country Union High School and Junior High School budgets.
