Derby: Tetreault Overcomes Daigle by 2 Votes

DERBY, VT - Derby Town displayed a high voter turnout yesterday with 33 percent of the 3085 registered voters casting ballots.
In the tightest and surprisingly hottest race in town, Maryann Tetreault squeaked out a 2-vote lead over Nicole Daigle for delinquent tax collector, at 516 to 514. No other race was challenged.
The budgets for Derby Elementary School and for North Country senior and junior high schools passed easily. The elementary school numbers were 680 yes to 320 no; junior high was 639 yes to 349 no; and senior high was 603 yes to 390 no.
