Dunlavey's Black Belt Academy is very pleased to announce the promotion of several students. The students train with Master Dunlavey at the North Country Hospital Wellness Center on Wednesday and Friday evenings. The Dragon program is for younger students who are just beginning their Tae Kwon Do training.
The testing consists of both verbal and physical knowledge in front of a board of black belts. The physical testing includes demonstration of skills learned, memorized patterns, self defense, sparring and board breaking. In addition to these requirements, Ms. Wheeler, who tested for her Red Belt, was required to submit a two page essay on her physical and mental growth since starting her Tae Kwon Do training.
