NEWPORT – The Shops at the Eastside in Newport are expanding and now offer bridal gowns, formal dresses, tuxedos, new shoe lines and all the accessories. The shops are in the same building as the Eastside Restaurant, a family run business.
Jarrett Gray, who runs the shops, says the new products offer customers options for shopping in the area. Gray is focusing on quality customer service. When needed, he goes out in the field to help people prepare for events and is flexible in offering to accommodate those with busy schedules.
Many students have very busy schedules after school and have trouble making time to shop and prepare for the prom, and Gray wants to help out in those situations. He has even gone to the high school to measure students for tuxedos for the prom.
As part of the expansion, a newly remodeled dressing room is available. It provides adequate space for guests to try on items with assistance when needed.
Many accessories are available including tiaras, jewelry, formal gloves, and garters. The shops have a selection of wedding and formal shoes.
Gray said he knows wedings are a special time and he wants to help guests have a fun and relaxing experience.
Gray says business is off to a strong start, especially with the tuxedos.
New lines of shoes have been added including Clarks and Klogs. The shops continue to offer the Timberland line and a variety of clothing including the very popular Tribal line with a variety of sizes available. Prom dresses are available in sizes 0 to 26.
Store hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with after hours as needed.
