Elizabeth Threlfall Hammond

Elizabeth Threlfall Hammond, age 94, slipped peacefully in the arms of her beloved Lord Jesus on Wednesday, January 9, 2013. 
She leaves behind the love of her life, Robert James Hammond. They celebrated 71 years of marriage on September 7, 2012. Together they traveled the world and raised their family in many countries. 
Carolyn (Bruce) Young of Corning, NY; Robert James (Jan) Hammond, Jr. of Laytonsville, MD; and Elizabeth Dale (Bert) Dollahite of San Jose, CA remember their mother with fondness and laughter. Together Betty and Bob enjoyed 8 grandchildren: James (Amy) Perry, David (Danielle) Perry, Tom (Kim) Perry, Robin(Chuck) Lerner, Mary (David) Macklin, Andy (Stephanie) Dollahite, Jon (Ashley) Dollahite, and Josh (Desiree) Dollahite. She was "GiGi" to AJ, Jake, Zach, Matt, Abby, Sam, Owen, Livia, August, Alexandra, Maggie, Annaliese, and Titus.
A celebration of her life will occur later in the spring. In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored by donations given to the Salvation Army Citadel, 32 Denison Parkway East, Corning, NY 14830, or to CareFirst, 11751 East Corning Rd., Corning, NY 14830.
